Palm House - Sefton
Park
Monday, 2nd May
2011
Our annual
visit to the Palm House in Sefton Park was another great
success. Plenty of dancers came along & the general
public were eager to join in the simpler dances. A
family visiting from Lyon danced with us this year, Anne
& Yoshi were guided through some of the easier dances
but their 9 year old son Nao needed no such help.
Although only dancing since October 2010, he had
acquired the ability to look after his partner, his
steps, handing & eye contact were just as they should
be, a natural dancer, I hope I am around to enjoy
dancing with him in 10 years time!! We finished at 4pm
having enjoyed once again the pleasure of dancing in
such a lovely setting.
If you missed out this year
be sure to pencil in the date for next year - Monday 7th May
2012 from 1.30 to 4.00 pm and
watch here for confirmation of date and time together with details
of the dance programme.

RSCDS Liverpool Branch Dancers in class
Palm House - Sefton
Park
Monday, 3rd May 2010
1.00 pm -
3.30 pm
Our annual visit to Sefton
Park and the lovely Palm House returned to the first weekend in May this
year. The audience was bigger then ever and eager to begin. "When
does it start?" was the most FAQ when we arrived! The experienced
dancers and the public wanted to get going! The weather was kind
to us again, not as hot as August last year thankfully, so plenty of
enthusiastic visitors eager to join in.
The youngest dancer (aged 3
years old) cried when the general public were not invited to dance the
more difficult dances, so more audience participation dances were added
to the programme. She loved every minute of it, a recruit for the
future we hope!
