PALM HOUSE 2009

Palm House. August 2009.

This year we moved our annual visit to the beautiful Palm House in Sefton Park, to the last weekend in August, in the hope that dancers would come along and enjoy the first of many Scottish dances about to begin in the new season, and also to try to recruit some new members for our own branch.

The weather was glorious -- too hot if that can be said after yet another awful summer, but we danced on, taking plenty of "water" breaks! The programme was simple, thanks to Margaret Palmer who devised it, so we all enjoyed our first taste this season of our favourite hobby without taxing our brains too much.

There was no problem getting the public to join in, they were willing as always and enjoyed dancing some very simple dances. By 4pm we were all hot and tired and ready for home having enjoyed another successful afternoon in the Palm House.

To be repeated again next year we hope (see our Dance Events calendar).
