SUMMER DANCE 2010

Saturday, 26th June 2010
Music by Ian Slater

Our summer dance was held in Court Hey Methodist Church Hall and very enjoyable evening was had by all.

The music was supplied by Ian Slater and by the interval we were all ready to enjoy the wonderful refreshments which included our usual strawberries and cream. As it turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far, these refreshments were very much appreciated.

Now the question is "HOW FAR WOULD YOU TRAVEL FOR A DANCE?"  A few miles or a few thousand miles?! I bet it is not as far as one of our guests did. Gianluca left Bologna, Italy on Saturday morning and was dancing with as at 7.30pm with his fiancée Beatrice who was already in Manchester.  We gave them a good Scouse welcome and two of our members made sure they got back to their city hotel with a midnight tour of the city on the way.

We hope everyone who came will join us next year at our Diamond Jubilee Ball at Carnatic Hall on the 25th June.
